Pumpkin Chocolate Bread Recipe

This Pumpkin Chocolate Bread blends pureed pumpkin with warm spices and semi-sweet chocolate chips to create a moist, flavorful quick bread. The combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger highlights autumn flavors while the chocolate adds pockets of sweetness. The batter's wet ingredients yield a tender crumb baked into a loaf shape suitable for slicing.

Description

The recipe starts by mixing pumpkin puree with eggs, vegetable oil, water, and sugar to form a smooth base. Dry ingredients including flour, baking soda, salt, and a blend of warming spices are whisked separately, then incorporated into the wet mixture, producing a well-balanced batter. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are pressed into the batter before baking, ensuring some remain near the surface. Baking in a 7x3 inch loaf pan at 350°F for 55-60 minutes results in a bread with a soft crumb and moist texture thanks to the pumpkin and oil. The spices provide the characteristic aroma and taste associated with pumpkin baked goods, while chocolate chips offer melting sweetness throughout.

This bread makes a comforting snack or breakfast option during cooler months. It pairs well with butter or cream cheese and can be sliced thick or thin. Its loaf format offers easy portioning and storage.
