Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe

This Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread blends canned pumpkin puree with warm spices and two types of chocolate chips for a moist, flavorful loaf. The batter combines eggs, oil, and water with flour and a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. A cinnamon sugar topping adds a sweet, crunchy finish. Baking in loaf pans at a moderate temperature yields a tender crumb ideal for breakfast or snack.

Description

The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe utilizes canned pumpkin puree to provide moisture and a gentle autumnal flavor, complemented by a blend of classic spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and a touch of ginger. The batter is mixed with eggs, vegetable oil, water, and sugar to achieve a well-balanced texture.

Incorporating both milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips adds contrasting bursts of sweetness throughout the bread. The topping of cinnamon sugar sprinkled over the batter before baking creates a slightly crunchy crust when baked.

Baked at 325°F for 75–80 minutes, the bread is cooked until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, ensuring a moist but fully set loaf. It can be served warm or cooled, suitable for breakfasts, snacks, or dessert bread options. The dual loaf pans make two uniform loaves that are easy to slice and share.
