Pumpkin Eggnog

Pumpkin Eggnog blends rich eggnog with smooth pumpkin purée, bourbon, and warm spices for a creamy holiday drink with a gentle spice. Whisked until frothy, it offers a smooth, lightly spiced flavor, enhanced by nutmeg. This drink is best served fresh but can be stored and remixed to restore its texture. It’s an option for those wanting a seasonal twist on classic eggnog with a balanced, autumnal warmth.

Description

Pumpkin Eggnog combines traditional eggnog with pureed pumpkin and bourbon, accented by nutmeg. The pumpkin adds a subtle earthiness and creamy thickness to the classic richness of eggnog, while the bourbon provides a warming depth. Mixing these ingredients until frothy creates a smooth, velvety drink with a balanced sweetness and spice. The addition of nutmeg, either plain or as part of pumpkin pie spice, lends a warming aromatic note.

Preparation involves simply whisking the ingredients together, making it a straightforward process without cooking. The frothy texture enhances the drinking experience, and dusting with extra nutmeg on top adds an appealing finishing touch.

Ideal for serving immediately in small glasses, it suits festive gatherings or quiet evenings alike. If prepared in advance, the eggnog can be refrigerated for up to three days, but it should be re-whisked before serving to restore its texture and uniformity.
