Ingredients
- 2 cups unsweetened plain almond or cashew milk
- ¼ cup plain pumpkin puree
- ¼ cup (1 scoop) THM Chocolate Whey Protein Powder (optional but adds creaminess; Vanilla Bean or Cookies-n-Cream flavors work also)
- ¼ cup Lakanto Classic or equivalent sweetener (more or less to taste)
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional; makes the recipe an S; adds creaminess and flavor)
- ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch mineral salt
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon maple flavoring (optional)
Instructions
- In a small to medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, pumpkin, protein powder, sweeteners, cocoa powder, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently to prevent boiling over.
- Remove from heat. Add in the vanilla and maple flavoring.
- Serve with homemade marshmallows or top with whipped cream.
