Pumpkin Pancakes Recipe
Description
Pumpkin Pancakes Recipe uses pumpkin puree mixed into a simple batter of milk, egg, and vegetable oil, combined with dry ingredients of flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. The mixture is stirred just until combined to maintain tenderness. Pancakes are scooped and cooked on a greased griddle over medium-high heat until browned on both sides, yielding pancakes with gentle warmth from the spices and a soft texture centered by the moisture of pumpkin.
The warm spices of cinnamon and nutmeg highlight the pumpkin's natural sweetness, balanced by brown sugar in the batter. These pancakes can be served hot with a cinnamon buttermilk syrup to complement the flavors and add a creamy, tangy element. They are suitable for a seasonal breakfast or brunch that accommodates those seeking a spiced, tender pancake alternative.
