Pumpkin White Chocolate Chip Cookies
Description
Pumpkin White Chocolate Chip Cookies incorporate pumpkin puree into a creamed mixture of butter and sugars enriched with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt for balanced sweetness and warm flavor. Baking soda provides leavening, while all-purpose flour forms the structure of the dough. White chocolate chips are folded in to add pockets of creamy sweetness with each bite.
The cookies are dropped onto baking sheets and flattened slightly before baking to ensure even cooking and a tender crumb. Baking at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about nine minutes yields soft-centered cookies with lightly crisp edges. Flattening them again immediately after baking, and adding extra white chocolate chips on top, enhances texture and appearance.
These cookies fit well into autumn and holiday baking, offering a different option from traditional chocolate chip cookies by incorporating pumpkin's moisture and spice characteristics. They store well at room temperature and maintain good texture.
