Description

Quick & Easy Tteokbokki combines Korean rice cakes with a spicy-sweet sauce crafted from gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and garlic, accented by fish cake slices and green onion chunks. The dried kelp added during simmering enriches the broth subtly. The rice cakes soak briefly to ensure tenderness before simmering in the seasoned liquid until the sauce thickens, coating each piece well. This method provides a balance of chewy and saucy textures, highlighting the mild heat and sweetness of the sauce.

Served warm, this preparation offers a satisfying snack or side dish with familiar Korean flavors. The sesame seeds garnish adds a delicate crunch and toasty note that complements the dish's soft components.
