Quick Greek Gryos Salad
Description
Quick Greek Gryos Salad offers a layered experience with flavorful ground lamb cooked with traditional herbs like oregano, thyme, and smoked paprika. The meat’s savory and slightly smoky profile provides a rich foundation against the backdrop of crisp romaine lettuce and a variety of fresh vegetables including artichoke hearts, bell peppers, and cucumber. The lemon and garlic dressing delivers a tangy acidity that cuts through the meat's richness while enhancing the salad’s freshness. This dish combines protein and vegetables in a single bowl, making it suitable for a light yet satisfying lunch or dinner.
The preparation involves browning the spiced meat and assembling a fresh vegetable medley tossed with a lemony Greek dressing, blending cooked and raw elements for texture contrast. The feta cheese adds a salty creaminess that complements both components. This recipe serves well as a stand-alone salad or can be paired with warm pita bread for a more filling meal.
