Quinoa Yogurt Parfait

This quinoa yogurt parfait combines cooked quinoa with creamy coconut yogurt, fresh berries, and a touch of honey or maple syrup. The combination offers a textured contrast between the fluffy quinoa and smooth yogurt, complemented by the natural sweetness and slight tartness of the berries. It can be easily adapted with any fresh fruits, nuts, or seeds, making it a flexible option for breakfast, snack, or light dessert.

Description

The Quinoa Yogurt Parfait features cooked quinoa as a nutritious base layered with plain coconut yogurt, which provides a dairy-free creaminess. Topping the parfait with a mix of fresh berries like blueberries, raspberries, and currants introduces bursts of fresh fruity flavor and natural sweetness. A drizzle of honey or maple syrup adds an optional gentle sweetness. The textures range from the slightly chewy quinoa to the smooth yogurt and juicy berries, creating an interesting mouthfeel. Because it can be prepared in glasses, it offers a visually appealing, ready-to-eat option that can be stored for up to two days in the refrigerator. Adjustments like including other fruits, nuts, or seeds can personalize the parfait to suit preferences or seasonal availability.
