Rainbow Smoothies
Description
This Rainbow Smoothies recipe features seven distinct smoothie layers, each prepared individually using frozen fruits like banana, raspberries, blueberries, pineapple, spinach, peaches, and strawberries paired with Greek yogurt and liquids such as water, pineapple juice, or orange juice. Each layer has a specific combination of ingredients to produce vibrant hues, from magenta and purple to green and orange.
The preparation involves blending each layer until smooth, adjusting the liquid to achieve the desired consistency without thinning the vibrant colors. The smoothies are stored briefly chilled before carefully layering in glasses to create a rainbow effect. The result is a cold, creamy texture with varied fruit flavors in each distinct layer.
This recipe provides a visually appealing option for healthy breakfasts or snacks where presentation is important. Serving immediately ensures the layers remain separate before blending together in the glass. The use of frozen fruit helps thicken each smoothie and maintain the icy texture.
