Raisin Bran Muffins
Description
The Raisin Bran Muffins recipe features wheat bran combined with raisins, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon for warm flavor and texture. The batter blends shortening, brown and white sugars, molasses, eggs, and milk, creating a moist and tender crumb. The sugars and molasses provide sweetness and a subtle deep note that complements the bran and spices.
Baked in a muffin pan at 400°F for 18 to 20 minutes, the muffins develop a golden top with a soft interior studded with juicy raisins. The bran adds fiber and a slight chew, balancing the softness from the fat and liquids. These muffins make a convenient breakfast or snack option with a rich but not overpowering sweetness.
