  • 9 oz. oyster crackers or 100 crackers
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ranch seasoning equal to 2 tablespoons, 1-oz. packet
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley dried
  • 1 teaspoon dill dried
  • 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250° F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, parsley, dill, and paprika. Transfer it to a gallon freezer bag and add the crackers. Seal, and gently toss to coat.
  3. Distribute in an even layer on a ½ sheet pan. Bake at 250 for 15 minutes. Remove and gently toss to coat. Bake for 10 more minutes. Let cool (at least slightly) prior to serving.

Notes

  • Use ranch seasoning mix, not ranch dip mix, as the seasoning flavor differs notably.
  • Olive oil can replace vegetable oil for a different taste.
  • Dried dill can be omitted if disliked; cayenne pepper can be added for heat.
