Ranch Seasoned Pretzels Recipe

Ranch Seasoned Pretzels are savory snack twists or sticks coated in a mixture of melted butter, avocado oil, ranch seasoning, and dried dill, then baked until the flavors meld. The seasoning clings to the pretzels for a crunchy, flavorful bite with tangy and herbal notes. This makes a handheld snack that’s easy to prepare and store.

Description

This Ranch Seasoned Pretzels recipe starts by combining melted salted butter with mild avocado oil, ranch seasoning mix, and dried dill to create a well-balanced coating. The pretzels are shaken with this sauce inside a sealed bag to ensure even coverage. After spreading in a single layer onto a baking sheet, they are baked at a low temperature to set the seasoning and lightly toast the pretzels.

The process infuses the pretzels with ranch flavor and a hint of herbal dill while maintaining their crunch. Baking also helps the coating adhere better without sogginess. The result is a snack with a distinctive ranch dressing-inspired taste, ideal for serving at gatherings or enjoying as an everyday treat.

Storing the pretzels in an airtight container or bag on the counter preserves their freshness for up to four to five days, making it simple to prepare in batches or for parties.

Ingredients

Servings
  • ¼ cup butter melted, or a dairy-free alternative, salted
  • ¼ cup avocado oil or another mildly flavored oil
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning or 1 packet
  • 1 teaspoon dill dried
  • 1 pound pretzels twists or sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the melted butter, oil, seasoning mix, and dill together in a medium sized bowl.
  3. Add half of the pretzels to a gallon-sized Ziploc bag and then pour half of the sauce all over them. Add the remaining pretzels and sauce. Zip up the bag, leaving the air trapped in it, and then shake the pretzels until they are completely coated in the sauce.
  4. Place the pretzels on prepared baking sheet. Spread them out as evenly as you can in a single layer, then bake for 18-20 minutes. Halfway through cooking, toss the pretzels to ensure even baking.
  5. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • You may use a store-bought ranch seasoning packet or homemade mix for the coating.
  • Store pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 to 5 days to maintain freshness.
