Raspberry Freezer Jam
Description
This Raspberry Freezer Jam recipe involves thoroughly rinsing and mashing fresh raspberries to yield about two-thirds cup of mashed fruit. Sugar and Real brand fruit pectin are added and stirred until dissolved, sometimes aided by brief microwaving to smooth the mixture. The mixture is poured into sterilized 8-ounce Mason jars, sealed with lids, and chilled—frozen for longer storage or refrigerated if used soon.
The resulting jam preserves the fresh fruit flavor and texture without cooking, making it a convenient method to preserve raspberries while keeping their bright color and freshness. The sugar and pectin combination helps the jam set to a spreadable consistency. This recipe yields about 2 to 3 cups of jam depending on quantities used and can be multiplied easily.
Jam can be spread on toast, used in desserts, or as a sweet topping. It should be kept chilled and used within recommended freezer or refrigerator storage times. Tripling the recipe is common for larger batches to freeze most and keep a smaller portion ready.

- 1 pt raspberries about 2/3 cup mashed, fresh
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tsp fruit pectin Real brand
