RASPBERRY ICED TEA

Report
RASPBERRY ICED TEA combines black tea and raspberry flavor by steeping tea bags and separately simmering raspberries with sugar to create a fruity syrup. The resulting beverage is balanced in sweetness and tartness, served cold over ice, making it a refreshing cold drink with natural berry flavor.

Description

This Raspberry Iced Tea recipe uses strong brewed black tea to form a rich tea base. Separately, raspberries and sugar are simmered in water to release raspberry juices and dissolve sugar, creating a sweet, vibrant syrup. The raspberry mixture is strained to remove seeds and pulp before combining with cooled black tea. Sweetness can be adjusted by sugar, depending on preference.

The cooling process and serving over ice produce a chilled, fruity tea with a harmonious blend of raspberry tartness and tea depth. The tea bags steep for 15 minutes off-heat to avoid over-brewing bitterness. Simmering raspberries for 10 minutes intensifies flavor and freshness.

Ideal for hot days or as a lightly sweetened beverage alternative, this iced tea leverages fresh or frozen raspberries, giving flexibility in preparation. It pairs well as a non-alcoholic refreshment during meals or social gatherings.
