Ingredients

Servings
  • For the Biscuits:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk cold
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese shredded
  • For the topping:
  • 2 Tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp parsley dried

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with a non stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and garlic powder and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and butter.  Then pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.  Be careful not to over mix.
  4. Then gently fold in the shredded cheese.
  5. Then scoop the batter evenly onto the baking sheet at least 2 inch apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minute or until the tops of the biscuits are slight golden brown.
  7. Then mix together the topping ingredients in a small bowl.
  8. Let the biscuits cool for 2-3 minutes and then brush the top of the biscuits with the garlic butter topping mixture.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store the leftover at room temperature for up to 4-5 days or freeze in a freezer safe bag for up to 2-3 months.
