Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi: Restaurant-Quality in 20 Minutes

This shrimp scampi bake brings together peeled shrimp in a garlic butter and white wine sauce, topped with buttery Italian breadcrumbs. Baking at 350°F finishes cooking the shrimp while creating a crisp breadcrumb topping, yielding tender, flavorful shrimp with a pleasant crunchy texture on top.

Description

Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi features shrimp baked in a mixture of butter, minced garlic, and dry white wine, which infuses the seafood with rich, aromatic flavors. The shrimp sits in a well-seasoned, buttery sauce, and a layer of Italian breadcrumbs tossed with melted butter adds a golden crispy topping after baking.

The method involves quickly sautéing garlic in butter to extract scent and flavor, then adding white wine for acidity before combining with the shrimp in a baking dish. The breadcrumb topping melts and crisps in the oven, complementing the tender shrimp beneath. The shrimp is cooked just until pink, ensuring it remains juicy and not overdone.

This dish can serve as a main entree or be paired with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the buttery sauce. Its relatively straightforward preparation is suitable for a home-cooked seafood dinner with a textured crust finish.
