Red Wine Vinaigrette

Red Wine Vinaigrette is a balanced, tangy salad dressing combining red wine vinegar, fresh lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, and olive oil with garlic powder and seasoning. Whisked together until emulsified, it brightens salads with a zesty and slightly sweet flavor, adaptable to many greens or vegetable dishes.

Description

This Red Wine Vinaigrette blends red wine vinegar and fresh lemon juice to provide a bright, acidic base. Dijon mustard and honey help emulsify the dressing, creating a smooth, cohesive texture while adding tanginess and subtle sweetness. Garlic powder adds a gentle savory note. Olive oil is incorporated gradually while whisking, ensuring the ingredients combine without separating.

Salt and black pepper are added to taste, rounding out the flavor. This vinaigrette works well tossed with mixed greens, roasted vegetables, or as a marinade. The recipe is simple but balanced, highlighting each component's contribution to the overall flavor.

Keeping the vinaigrette refrigerated in a covered container helps maintain freshness. Shaking before use re-emulsifies the dressing if separation occurs. The Dijon mustard and honey are essential to maintain texture and flavor harmony and should not be omitted or substituted without consideration.
