Instructions

  1. Any lemonade recipe begins with simple syrup. Simple syrup is equal mixture of sugar and water heated up until sugar dissolves creating a syrup.
  2. For this drink, you’ll make blueberry simple syrup. In a sauce pan heat equal ratio of water and sugar. Add in fresh blueberries. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Keep mashing the berries as it cooks.
  3. You’ll end up with syrup-y mix. Strain the syrup, squeezing out all the juices from the berries. Viola pretty pink blueberry simple syrup is ready.
  4. Pop it into fridge until it’s chilled.
  5. Into a pitcher add chilled blueberry simple syrup. Pour in freshly squeezed lemon juice. Throw in loads of ice.
  6. Stir it up.
  7. Pour into serving glasses filled with ice cubes, few fresh blueberries and lemon slices.
  8. Serve immediately. Enjoy the drink sitting by the pool side!

  • Allow the blueberry syrup to chill in the fridge for several hours to deepen flavor.
