Refried Bean Dip

This Refried Bean Dip blends creamy refried beans with cream cheese, sour cream, and cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, offering a rich and mildly spicy flavor profile enhanced by classic taco seasoning and hot sauce. Baked until bubbly and topped with fresh cilantro, it yields a warm, cheesy dip ideal for serving with chips. The use of canned green chiles provides a subtle heat and texture contrast, resulting in a satisfying party appetizer or snack.

Description

The Refried Bean Dip combines smooth refried beans with softened cream cheese and sour cream to achieve a rich base. The mixture includes taco seasoning and hot sauce, which infuse a gentle spiciness and layered flavor. Cheddar and pepper jack cheeses add sharpness and creamy meltiness, with half incorporated into the dip and the rest sprinkled on top for a golden baked crust. Canned green chiles are mixed in to contribute occasional bursts of mild heat and a bit of texture. The assembled dip is spread in a baking dish and baked at moderate heat until hot and the cheese topping is melted and slightly browned. Fresh cilantro is sprinkled on after baking to add a fresh herbal note. This dip is typically served warm with tortilla chips, making it a flavorful addition to gatherings or casual snacking.
