Refried Bean Dip

This Refried Bean Dip blends pureed bell pepper, onion, and chipotle with smooth refried beans and spices. The combination offers a creamy, slightly smoky dip with a touch of heat and tang from red wine vinegar and Tabasco. Garnished with crumbly cotija and queso fresco cheeses and fresh cilantro, it's a flavorful, crowd-friendly appetizer ideal for pairing with tortilla chips or fresh vegetables at room temperature or warmed.

Description

Refried Bean Dip combines seasoned refried beans with fresh pureed vegetables and chipotle to create a smooth and creamy dip. The bell pepper and onion add freshness and texture, while the chipotle provides smoky heat. Seasonings like cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and red wine vinegar contribute layers of flavor and a balanced tangy warmth. The dip is finished with crumbled cotija and queso fresco cheeses and chopped cilantro, adding savory and herbal notes. The method involves pulsing fresh ingredients for a uniform texture and pureeing until smooth, making a dip that holds together well. It can be served at room temperature or warmed slightly to enhance those flavors. This recipe suits casual snacking, parties, or as a complement to Mexican or Tex-Mex dishes.
