Remoulade Sauce Recipe

This Remoulade Sauce combines mayonnaise with Creole-style seasonings, including hot sauce, parsley, mustard, horseradish, and a hint of pickled tang from Worcestershire sauce and pickle juice. Minced jalapeno, shallot, and garlic add texture and a mild heat. The sauce is chilled to meld its flavors before serving, making it a tangy, creamy accompaniment for seafood, meats, or sandwiches.

Description

The Remoulade Sauce Recipe blends a creamy base of mayonnaise with flavorful ingredients like hot sauce, chopped parsley, spicy mustard, prepared horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and pickle juice or vinegar. Minced jalapeno and shallot introduce subtle heat and aromatic sharpness, while garlic rounds out the flavor profile. Adding lemon juice brightens the sauce, and Creole seasoning provides a distinctive blend of spices with optional cayenne for extra spice.

The mixture is whisked together until combined or processed for a smoother texture and refrigerated for at least one hour. This resting lets the flavors meld and intensify. The resulting sauce is well balanced with creamy, tangy, spicy, and herbal notes, making it versatile for serving with seafood, grilled meats, or as a dipping sauce.

The heat level can be adjusted by varying the amount of hot sauce, jalapeno, or cayenne pepper according to taste preferences.
