Restaurant Salsa Recipe
Description
Restaurant Salsa Recipe blends ripe Roma tomatoes with chopped white onion, serrano chiles, and cilantro to create a vibrant salsa base, optionally enhanced with garlic. After blending to a coarse consistency, it is sautéed in cooking oil, brought to a boil, then simmered to deepen the flavors and combine the ingredients.
The removal of seeds and membranes from the chiles controls the heat level, deftly balancing spice with fresh vegetal notes. The coarse texture allows bright tomato and herb pieces to remain noticeable, adding interest to each bite.
Serve this salsa as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, or as a dip with chips. Adjust the salt and heat according to preference to suit individual taste profiles.
Variations include adding cumin or lime juice to customize flavor. The cooked nature of this salsa extends its shelf-life slightly and mellows raw edges while retaining freshness.
