Restaurant-Style Olive Oil and Balsamic Bread Dip

This Restaurant-Style Olive Oil and Balsamic Bread Dip blends good quality extra-virgin olive oil warmed with minced garlic and seasoned with oregano, grated Parmesan, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper. It's served with crusty bread for dipping, delivering a savory, tangy, and herbal flavor combination enhanced by gentle warming of the oil and garlic.

Description

Combining half a cup of extra-virgin olive oil warmed gently with crushed and minced garlic allows the flavors to infuse without cooking the garlic. The warm oil is then transferred to a plate or shallow bowl and immediately sprinkled with oregano or Italian seasoning, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar to taste, and freshly ground black pepper.

This dip features a blend of smooth, fruity olive oil and tangy balsamic vinegar accented by the pungent garlic and herbal oregano, with the Parmesan adding subtle umami richness. The warming step intensifies the garlic aroma without harsh cooking.

It pairs well with hot crusty bread, ideal for dipping. The amounts for each ingredient are flexible according to taste, allowing customization for stronger garlic, more tang, or extra cheese. It offers a simple, flavorful accompaniment suitable as an appetizer or snack.
