Roasted Mushrooms with Balsamic and Soy
Description
This recipe uses whole mushrooms coated in a seasoned mixture of melted butter, neutral oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, herbs, and a touch of brown sugar to balance acidity. The mushrooms are spread in a single layer and roasted in a hot oven, which concentrates their flavor and softens their texture, giving a lightly caramelized exterior. The combination of soy and balsamic creates a savory and slightly tangy glaze that complements the earthy mushrooms. Minimal seasoning with salt and cracked black pepper ensures a balanced flavor profile. The finishing herbs add a bright aromatic note. This preparation yields tender, richly flavored mushrooms suitable as a side dish or topping.
