Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Roasted Sweet Potatoes use peeled and cubed sweet potatoes seasoned simply with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper, then baked until tender. The roasting creates a soft interior with lightly crisp edges, making them an easy side dish or addition to salads and bowls. The paprika adds a subtle smoky warmth that complements the natural sweetness of the potatoes.

Description

Roasted Sweet Potatoes feature large cubes of peeled sweet potatoes tossed with olive oil and spiced with paprika, salt, and black pepper. They are spread evenly on a baking sheet and roasted at a high temperature until they become tender when pierced with a knife. Turning halfway through roasting allows even caramelization and ensures all sides cook well without burning. The combination of olive oil and spices provides a balanced flavor with a lightly crisp texture on the outside while remaining soft inside.

These roasted sweet potatoes can be served alongside roasted meats, stirred into grain bowls, or cooled and added to salads or wraps for texture and flavor contrast. Their moderate seasoning keeps them versatile for many dishes.

For best results, cut the sweet potato cubes as evenly as possible to ensure uniform cooking and doneness. Flipping them halfway through roasting helps to get consistent color and texture on all sides.
