Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Description
This Roasted Sweet Potatoes recipe uses large cubed sweet potatoes coated in olive oil and a mixture of coarse salt, black pepper, brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, and garlic powder. The spice blend adds gentle heat and a smoky undertone balanced by the sweetness of the potatoes and brown sugar.
Roasting at 450°F produces crispy golden edges while tenderizing the interior. Spreading the cubes with space between them on the baking sheet helps achieve an even roast with enough air circulation for crispiness.
The finished sweet potatoes work well as a side dish or can be added to bowls, salads, or eaten as a snack. The seasoning blend is robust yet not overwhelming, allowing the natural sweetness of the sweet potato to shine through.
