Roasted Sweet Potatoes (Perfectly Seasoned)

These roasted sweet potatoes are cut into half-inch cubes and coated in a seasoning blend of ground cumin, garlic powder, and paprika before roasting. This results in tender, caramelized cubes with a slightly smoky and savory crust, suitable as a versatile side dish to accompany a wide range of meals.

Description

The sweet potato cubes are tossed in avocado or extra virgin olive oil along with ground cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Arranged in a single layer on a sturdy baking sheet, they roast at 425°F for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring once to promote even browning and caramelization. The spices give warmth and depth complementing the natural sweetness of the potatoes.

The texture is tender inside with some crisp and caramelized edges for contrast. These seasoned sweet potatoes fit well with fall meal prep plans or as a simple addition to everyday dinners, providing a balance of flavor and nutrition.

Doubling the seasoning increases the intensity for those who prefer a bolder taste. Using a heavy-duty baking sheet prevents warping and ensures consistent roasting results.
