Rodeo Burger

The Rodeo Burger is a grilled beef patty seasoned simply with garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder, topped with melted American cheese, BBQ sauce, and large onion rings, served on a pretzel bun. The components combine smoky, savory, and slightly sweet flavors with a satisfying textured bite from the onion rings and soft bun.

Description

Ground lean beef is mixed with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and onion powder, formed into six patties, and cooked on a hot grill or grill pan. Cooking times are adjusted to preference, with medium achieved around 145-150°F internal temperature. American cheese slices are placed on patties near the end to melt over the top.

Burgers are assembled on pretzel buns with barbecue sauce spread over the patties and two large onion rings added for crunch and onion flavor. The grilling method adds a caramelized crust to the beef, locking in juices and creating contrast between the crispy edges and tender interior.

The recipe suggests cooking on high heat for a seared outside and encourages using quality beef. Optional toppings like Asiago cheese, avocado, or jalapeño can intensify the burger’s flavor profile.
