Description
In this recipe, hot strong coffee is poured over sugar to dissolve it, then combined with half and half, whole milk, vanilla, and RumChata liqueur. The mixture is stirred thoroughly, covered, and frozen for a full day to develop a frozen slush consistency. Before serving, it is allowed to thaw until it softens into a scoopable texture resembling a frozen coffee slush.
The blend produces a creamy and sweet coffee beverage that carries the distinct cinnamon, vanilla, and cream flavors of RumChata. This drink provides a refreshing way to enjoy coffee with an alcoholic twist, suitable for warm weather or as a dessert-style drink.
Ingredients
- 3 c. coffee strong brewed
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 pint half and half
- 1 quart milk whole
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. Rumchata liqueur
Instructions
- Pour hot coffee over sugar in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Stir until combined.
- Cover bowl and freeze at least 24 hours. Remove from freezer and let thaw until it becomes a slush.
