Russian Tea Recipe
Description
This recipe layers the flavors of multiple fruit juices—pineapple, orange, and lemon—with black tea brewed alongside whole cloves and cinnamon sticks. The sugar dissolves in the juice mixture, and the strained tea concentrate combines with the juices and additional hot water to adjust the flavor strength.
Simmering in a slow cooker allows the spices and fruit elements to meld, producing a richly flavored, warm beverage. The cloves stuck into orange slices used as garnish add an aromatic touch and visual appeal when served.
Russian Tea is served hot, typically for a group, and the recipe quantity indicates about 12 servings. If cinnamon sticks are not available, ground cinnamon can be used instead, though it will not dissolve fully. The recipe provides an approximate calorie count per cup serving, but actual values vary based on ingredient brands.

- Add the 2 remaining cinnamon sticks to the tea and cover the slow cooker. Cook on low until heated through.
- To garnish, slice an orange into thin slices, then halve or quarter them if you'd like. Push a whole clove into the orange slice and place it in the cup on top of the tea. 1 orange, 12 whole cloves
- You can also serve the tea from the slow cooker. You can decorate the top with orange slices and cinnamon sticks if you'd like.
