Salmon Croquettes Recipe

Salmon Croquettes are golden-fried patties made from canned salmon mixed with cornmeal, flour, diced red bell pepper, sweet onion, and seasonings. The mixture is bound with egg, mayonnaise, and flavored with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and fresh cilantro. The croquettes develop a crisp crust on the outside while remaining tender inside, ideal for quick, satisfying meals.

Description

This recipe starts by whisking together flour and yellow cornmeal to form the dry base. Canned salmon is combined with finely chopped red bell pepper and diced sweet onion to add moisture and mild sweetness. The addition of beaten egg and mayonnaise provides binding and creaminess, while Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped cilantro contribute layered savory flavors.

The mixture is shaped into 6 to 8 patties, then pan-fried in hot olive oil over medium-high heat until both sides achieve a golden-brown crust. These croquettes can be served immediately with a preferred dipping sauce, presenting a balanced dish with a tender interior and a crispy exterior.
