Salmon Crudo

Salmon Crudo is a simple Italian-style raw fish dish featuring thinly sliced sushi-grade salmon dressed with olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and garnished with red onion, capers, dill, and chives. The preparation highlights the delicate texture and flavor of raw salmon with bright, herbaceous, and tangy accents.

Description

To make Salmon Crudo, skinless sushi-grade salmon is sliced thinly against the grain and arranged on a serving plate. The fish is dressed with a mixture of extra-virgin olive oil and fresh lemon juice, providing a light, citrusy coating. Thin slices of red onion add a gentle sharpness, while small capers contribute bursts of briny flavor. Fresh dill and minced chives lend herbaceous notes that complement the salmon's buttery texture.

The result is a dish with tender salmon slices paired with refreshing and piquant garnishes. This no-cook preparation showcases the freshness and silky quality of high-grade salmon. Lemon wedges served on the side allow for additional acidity if desired.
