Salsa Criolla Recipe (Argentinian Salsa)
Description
The Salsa Criolla recipe combines finely chopped bell peppers (both red and green), white onion, tomato, and minced garlic. These fresh vegetables are coated in a dressing of olive oil and red wine vinegar, giving the salsa a bright acidity. Crushed red pepper adds a mild heat, while fresh oregano contributes an aromatic herbal note. Salt and black pepper season the salsa to taste.
This salsa works as a colorful, vibrant accompaniment to grilled meats, especially traditional Argentine asados, or as a topping for sandwiches and empanadas. Its freshness and acidity help balance richer or heavier dishes.
