Ingredients

Servings

Salted Caramel Vodka (Makes enough for 4 cocktails)

  • 1.2 oz. caramel candies about 4 store-bought caramel squares or 4 (1½”) homemade caramels, salted
  • 8 oz. vodka

Salted Caramel Appletini

  • 2 ½ oz. apple cider
  • 2 oz. vodka recipe above, salted caramel-infused
  • ¼ oz. caramel sauce

Instructions

Make the Salted Caramel-Infused Vodka

  1. Pour the vodka into a pint-sized mason jar.
  2. Drop the salted caramels into the vodka.
  3. Screw on the lid, shake, then let sit overnight. (This could take up to 24 hours, depending on how large the caramels are.)
  4. Shake occasionally until the caramels are completely dissolved into the vodka. (There will be a film on top, so before you use this vodka, please shake well.)

Make the Salted Caramel Appletini

  1. Fill a stainless steel bar shaker with ice.
  2. Measure the apple cider and Salted Caramel-Infused Vodka into the shaker. Drizzle the caramel sauce in.
  3. Mix vigorously, then pour into a martini glass rimmed with the caramel sauce.
  4. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Please note that the total time of this cocktail is 24+ hours, but that's for the infused vodka. It takes 5 minutes or less to shake up one of these Appletinis.
  • Also, this infused vodka can make up to 4 cocktails. The recipe can be doubled or tripled, but it might take more time for the caramel to dissolve.
