Ingredients
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 cup water
- 12 oz. frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 orange sliced
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/3 cup sugar
- fresh berries to garnish
Instructions
- Combine the wine, water, berries and sliced orange in a bowl and mix well.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator overnight or 8 hours.
- Press the mixture through a sieve and strain out the solids. Squish the berries to release as much juice as possible.
- Stir in the orange juice and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
- Freeze for an hour, then remove from the freezer and stir with a fork.
- Continue to freeze stirring every hour or so until it is completely frozen, about 5 hours.
- Serve garnished with fresh fruit.
