Sausage Balls Recipe (Classic Bisquick Sausage Balls)
Description
The recipe combines savory ingredients—sharp cheddar cheese and seasoned ground pork sausage—with a biscuit baking mix to bind them together. After mixing, the dough is shaped into golf ball-sized portions and baked at 350°F until golden and thoroughly cooked. The biscuit mix helps create a slightly crumbly yet moist texture that contrasts with the melty cheese and cooked sausage.
These sausage balls have a rich, hearty flavor profile, slightly herbaceous if chives are added, and a pleasing balance of textures: crispy outside and tender inside. They make excellent finger foods, perfect for gatherings or as a savory snack. They can be enjoyed hot, freshly baked, to appreciate the melty cheese and juicy sausage flavor.
