Sausage Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers
Description
This recipe fills seeded jalapeno pepper halves with a blend of browned ground pork sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and onion powder. The mixture combines creamy and savory elements with the burst of heat from the jalapenos. Baking at a high temperature melts the cheese and browns the top slightly, creating a warm, rich filling inside the tender, roasted pepper halves.
The poppers are best served immediately while hot and bubbly, making them a handy party appetizer or a flavorful snack that showcases the contrast between spicy fresh peppers and smooth cheese and meat filling.
