Sheet Pan Breakfast

Sheet Pan Breakfast combines seasoned shredded hash browns, sausage links, baked eggs, and melted cheese all cooked together on one pan. The hash browns are tossed with olive oil and seasoning and baked before adding sausage and eggs. Cheese is sprinkled over the potatoes for a creamy texture, while eggs bake gently beside the sausages. Fresh herbs finish the dish, offering a hearty and convenient all-in-one morning meal.

Description

The Sheet Pan Breakfast involves seasoning shredded hash browns with olive oil and Italian or Southwest spice blends, then baking these alone on one side of a pan. After 10 minutes, breakfast sausage links are added and cooked until browned through. Following that, eggs are cracked directly onto the empty side of the pan and topped with shredded cheese over the hash browns. The baking continues until the eggs reach the desired doneness, and all components are hot and cooked through.

This method yields a textural contrast between the crispy edges of the hash browns, the savory sausage links, the creamy melted cheese, and the softly cooked eggs. It simplifies breakfast by using one pan and layering flavors through seasoning and cheese, while the fresh herbs add brightness. The cooking technique lets each element stay distinct yet cohesive on the sheet pan.

The breakfast works well served immediately with optional toppings like salsa or extra cheese for a fuller southwest-style flavor. It offers a convenient way to prepare a satisfying morning meal with minimal cleanup. Fresh herbs add color and aroma, enhancing the eating experience.

According to notes, this dish can be transformed into breakfast bowls by adding favorite toppings and extra salsa. The recipe allows for flexibility in seasoning blends and cheese types, adapting to taste preferences.
