Sheet Pan Cajun Shrimp and Potatoes
Description
This recipe uses baby gold potatoes tossed with olive oil, melted butter, and Cajun seasoning, then roasted on a sheet pan until tender and golden. The shrimp, coated in butter and Cajun seasoning, are added alongside during the final minutes of baking to develop a tender texture and balanced spice.
A honey butter sauce made from melted butter, honey, and minced garlic is whisked and brushed over the cooked shrimp, imparting a glossy finish and subtle sweetness that counterbalances the Cajun spice. The one-pan method simplifies preparation and cleanup while allowing flavors to meld.
Homemade Cajun seasoning can be used for more control over spice levels and ingredients. For a lighter option, omit the honey butter sauce. This dish serves well for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings, providing a pleasing blend of heat, sweetness, and savory richness.
