Sheet Pan Lemon Garlic Salmon and Asparagus

This sheet pan lemon garlic salmon and asparagus offers a simple, balanced meal combining tender, flaky salmon with roasted asparagus. The marinade of olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and garlic paste infuses brightness and aromatic savoriness into both the fish and vegetables. Roasting at a moderate temperature allows even cooking while keeping salmon moist and asparagus tender but not limp.

Description

The dish starts by trimming woody ends from asparagus and arranging both salmon fillets and asparagus evenly on a sheet pan. A mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic paste is whisked together and drizzled generously over the ingredients. Sliced lemon rounds are layered on top to add a fresh citrus note and mild acidity during roasting.

Seasoning with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper enhances the natural flavors. Baking at 350°F for 15-20 minutes gently cooks the salmon to an opaque, moist finish and softens the asparagus just enough to retain a slight bite. The result is a harmonious pairing of bright lemon, mild garlic, and the rich texture of the salmon contrasted with the tender vegetable.

This dish is straightforward to prepare and requires minimal cleanup. It can be served on its own or accompanied by sides like roasted potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad for a full meal. The combination is suitable for balanced weeknight dinners or light lunches.
