Shiitake Mushrooms Recipe

This Shiitake Mushroom recipe is a quick and easy side dish made by sauteeing fresh mushrooms with butter and garlic. Ready in just 15 minutes, it is a great addition to elevate any meal.

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter or olive oil for a vegan or dairy-free option
  • 1 lb Shiitake mushrooms rinsed and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled and minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped as garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 10 or 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms. Saute, stirring constantly, for 6-7 minutes or until the mushrooms are fully softened and start caramelizing.
  3. Add the minced garlic and saute for 30 more seconds.
  4. Sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
  5. Taste for seasoning and add more if necessary. Transfer onto a plate and garnish with chopped parsley.
