Shoyu Sesame Shabu Shabu Dipping Sauce
Description
This dipping sauce combines rich tahini and aromatic sesame oil with the umami depth of shoyu (soy sauce) and the bright acidity of rice vinegar. The addition of chili garlic sauce introduces gentle heat that can be adjusted to taste. Toasted sesame seeds add textural contrast, while sliced green onions provide fresh, mild onion notes.
The ingredients are processed together until well mixed and slightly ground, meant to accompany shabu shabu, a Japanese hot pot dish featuring thinly sliced meats and vegetables cooked at the table. The sauce complements those ingredients by enhancing flavor without overpowering.

- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp green onion sliced

- Serve with shabu shabu.
