Shrimp and Scallops in a Lemon Butter Sauce
Description
Shrimp and Scallops in a Lemon Butter Sauce features a fresh seafood trio marinated briefly to infuse citrus and herb notes. The marinade includes lemon zest, garlic, olive oil, and basil, which gently seasons the delicate seafood. After marination, the scallops and shrimp are cooked in a skillet with butter and olive oil, forming a golden exterior on the scallops and tender pink shrimp.
The lemon juice added at the end brightens the dish, balancing the richness from the butter and offering a fresh contrast. The seasoning with black pepper and sea salt is done just before cooking to enhance the natural flavors.
Serve immediately to maintain the tender texture of the scallops and shrimp. The dish is suitable as a main course or elegant appetizer.
