Description
Shrimp Dip begins with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise beaten until smooth. This base is spread evenly, then topped with a layer of seafood cocktail sauce, imparting a tangy, slightly spicy flavor. Well-drained canned shrimp are scattered on top, providing a tender seafood component. Additional layers include diced green bell peppers and tomatoes for crispness, diced green onions for a sharp bite, and shredded mozzarella cheese contributing mild, creamy richness. An extra sprinkling of cheese tops the final layer.

Ingredients
- 1 cream cheese 8 ounce package
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 small shrimp 4 ounce cans, drained well
- 1 seafood cocktail sauce 250ml jar
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 4 green onions diced
- 1 tomato diced, large
- 2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese mixed, or cheddar cheese, shredded
- plain Ritz Crackers two boxes
Instructions
- Beat together the cream cheese, sour cream and mayo until smooth and creamy. Spread out on a large plate with an edge or in a 9x13 pan.
- Spread the seafood sauce over the cream cheese mixture gently.
- Sprinkle the shrimp over top of the sauce in an even layer.
- Layer the remaining ingredients however you like. I usually go green peppers, tomatoes, a little cheese, green onions and then the rest of the cheese.
- Refrigerate until serving.
- Serve with Ritz crackers for the BEST taste, but this also works with tortilla chips!
Notes
- Prepare the dip on the day of serving to avoid sogginess and maintain optimal texture.
