Skillet Honey Lime Chicken
Description
This recipe features chicken thighs seasoned simply with ground cumin and chili powder for a gentle warmth, alongside salt and pepper for basic seasoning. The chicken is cooked in olive oil until golden brown and reaches the proper internal temperature, ensuring juiciness and flavor.
The pan sauce includes honey to bring sweetness, fresh lime juice and zest for a bright acidity, soy sauce for depth and saltiness, and minced garlic for savory aroma. The sauce is boiled briefly and whisked until slightly thickened, creating a glossy coating. Returning the chicken to the pan allows it to soak up the flavorful glaze during a few minutes of simmering.
This combination results in chicken that is tender and richly flavored, balancing the sweetness of honey with the vibrant citrus notes of lime. Serving suggestions include pairing it with plain rice or steamed vegetables to complement the sauce and keep the meal balanced.
