Skirt Steak Marinade

This Skirt Steak Marinade blends soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, spicy brown mustard, honey, kosher salt, black pepper, and minced garlic to create a balanced, savory mixture. Marinating the skirt steak for several hours infuses the meat with deep, tangy, and slightly sweet flavors. After marination, the steak can be cooked as desired and rested briefly before slicing to promote juiciness and tenderness.

Description

The Skirt Steak Marinade combines a variety of flavorful and complementary ingredients to enhance the natural richness of the skirt steak. The soy sauce and Worcestershire add umami depth, while balsamic vinegar and honey bring acidity and subtle sweetness. Mustard and garlic introduce mild spice and aromatic notes. Marinating the meat for 3 to 4 hours allows these flavors to penetrate, tenderizing the skirt steak slightly. The preparation concludes by cooking the steak with your chosen method, then resting it for several minutes to let juices redistribute. Slicing against the grain ensures tender, easy-to-chew pieces ideal for serving as the main protein component of a meal or in tacos, salads, or sandwiches.
