Sloppy Joe Biscuit Casserole
Description
The casserole starts with ground beef browned and drained. A mixture of ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt is added, simmered briefly to meld flavors into a classic Sloppy Joe sauce. This sauce is poured over quartered refrigerated biscuits then stirred to coat pieces evenly.
The combined mixture is spread into a prepared baking dish and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Baking at 350°F for about 28-30 minutes bakes the biscuits through, infusing them with savory sauce, while the cheese melts to form a rich topping with browned spots.
The resulting casserole is a comforting meal combining familiar Sloppy Joe flavors with biscuit texture throughout, creating a hearty dish that is easy to serve and share.
This recipe adapts from Plain Chicken and is suitable for casual dinners or family meals.
