Sloppy Joes
Description
This recipe involves cooking ground beef along with diced onion and minced garlic until no pink remains and the onions turn translucent, then draining excess fat. A sauce is made by combining barbecue sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and white vinegar in the pan and heating through to meld flavors. The resulting mixture is rich and tangy with sweetness from the brown sugar and a slight bite from mustard and vinegar.
The saucy beef is served hot on buns, perfect for casual meals and familiar to many as a comforting sandwich. The texture combines crumbled beef with a thick sauce that clings well to bread.
