Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Dip
Description
This recipe starts by mixing a seasoning packet with ketchup, molasses, and water in a slow cooker and placing raw boneless, skinless chicken breasts inside, coating them well. The mixture cooks on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours until the chicken is cooked thoroughly. The chicken is then shredded directly in the cooker using forks.
Softened cream cheese and half of the shredded Mexican blend cheese are stirred in for creaminess. The remaining shredded cheese is sprinkled on top and melted under cover for 10-15 minutes to create a cheesy crust. Optional chopped red and green onions add freshness and crunch when sprinkled on before serving.

Ingredients
- 2 chicken breast boneless skinless
- 1 package seasoning mix McCormick Slow Cookers Sweet & Smoky Pulled Chicken
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ cup molasses
- ½ cup water
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup Mexican blend cheese shredded
- onion red and green, chopped, optional, 3 tablespoons
Instructions
- Mix ketchup, molasses, water and Recipe Mix in slow cooker. Place chicken in slow cooker and stir to coat.
- Cook on HIGH 2 hours or on LOW for 4 hours until chicken is cooked through. Use two forks to shred chicken. Stir in cream cheese and half of the shredded cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top, cover and cook another 10-15 minutes.
- Top with onions if desired and serve with tortilla chips.
